| BGH to Honor Employees of Photography Project |
FOR RELEASE: 7/21/2010 |
Buffalo General Hospital will recognize 17 amateur photographers who participated in an employee-driven project called the BGH Employee Shutterbug Project II on Wednesday, August 18 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in Swift Auditorium.
This is the second year Buffalo General employees and their family members were challenged to share their love for photography through the BGH Employee Shutterbug Project to help beautify the hospital's environment with images from all over the world. In 2008, the top 50 photos were developed, framed and featured throughout the BGH facility.
This year, 17 participating photographers (some veterans from the last project) will share the spotlight as their top 75 photographs join last year's images in a place of honor on BGH's walls! These employees took the time to share a part of themselves at work that has nothing to do with health care and everything to do with the WOW factor we can each bring to our jobs every day-a personal effort that will touch everyone who sees these images for many years to come.
The event is open to all Kaleida Health employees interested in seeing the incredible talent Buffalo General employees and/or employee family members volunteered to share with their coworkers, BGH patients and other visitors.
Light refreshments provided.
To see the photographs from this year's project (and the original project), find out the locations of the photos within BGH, or to share the collection with others, go to http://kaleidascope/shutterbug or from an external computer at http://www.kaleidahealth.org/shutterbug2009.
