There are many ways you can give to Women & Childrens Hospital of Buffalo Foundation.
You can give your time by volunteering to help at various Foundation events. You can give of your talents by selecting those endeavors when your talents can be of value. And, of course, you can give of your treasury by contributing to our annual fund drive or by remembering the Foundation as you do your Estate planning.
The Foundation is willing to accept gifts of cash, stocks and securities, life insurance policies or become a beneficiary of your IRA. The Foundations staff will be happy to work with you and your financial advisor to find a vehicle which best fits your plans.
Planned Giving
Our Foundation has a planned giving program that makes it easy to remember Women & Childrens Hospital in your will. Contributions may take the form of a request, a gift placed in trust, a charitable gift annuity, a gift of property in which you retain a life interest or a life insurance policy that designates the foundation as the beneficiary.
What is planned giving?
Planned giving is a gift that is designed to benefit both you and Women & Childrens Hospital. With such a gift, along with receiving an income tax deduction, you can provide income for yourself for a specified number of years or for your lifetime.
Planned gifts take on many forms and might involve bequest in ones will, a revocable trust, a gift placed in trust, a pooled income fund, a charitable gift annuity, a gift of property in which you retain a life interest, or a life insurance policy that designates Women & Childrens Hospital as the beneficiary.
Bequests
When you make a bequest to our foundation through your will, you will help insure that women and children in Western New York will be provided the highest quality care available. This is the noblest and most enduring legacy you can provide.
Benefactors who make planned gifts to the Women & Childrens Hospital Foundation are recognized through our Martha Tenny Williams Planned Giving Society. Members of this society represent the spirit of altruism that will realize our collective hopes for the future.
Those wishing to further the work of the Foundation by making provisions in their estate plans may wish to share with their legal advisors the following suggested wording:
I give, devise and bequeath to the Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation, a nonprofit foundation that supports programs and equipment directed toward the development and enhancement of programs for patient care, medical education and research, the sum of $_______ (or, all of my residuary estate, or a portion of my residuary estate equal to ____% thereof, or the following described property:_________).
Through planned giving, donors can assure themselves that they will be part of Women & Childrens Hospital far beyond their life span.
